How to Install Your Printer: A Simple Step-by-Step Guide
🖨️ Step 1: Unbox and Prepare Your Printer
- Remove all packaging materials and tapes.
- Place your printer on a flat, stable surface near your computer and power outlet.
- Plug in the power cable and turn on the printer.
⚙️ Step 2: Install Ink or Toner and Paper
- Open the printer’s front or top cover as instructed in the manual.
- Insert the ink cartridges (for inkjets) or toner cartridge (for lasers).
- Load plain paper into the paper tray.
- Allow the printer to perform any startup or alignment process.
🔌 Step 3: Connect the Printer
You can connect your printer in one of two main ways:
Option A: USB Connection
- Plug the USB cable from the printer into your computer.
- Your computer should automatically detect the printer.
- If prompted, follow on-screen instructions to install the driver.
Option B: Wireless (Wi-Fi) Connection
- On your printer’s display screen, open Network or Wi-Fi Settings.
- Choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Windows:

Mac:

📱 Step 5: Add the Printer to Your Phone (Optional)
iPhone (AirPrint):
- Open Settings → Wi-Fi, connect to the same network as the printer.
- When printing from an app, tap Share → Print → Select Printer.
Android:
- Go to Settings → Connected devices → Connection preferences → Printing.
- Turn on your printer’s plugin (download from Google Play if needed).
- Select your printer when printing from an app.
